Ann Ridge graduated from the Institute for Pastoral Studies, Loyola University Chicago, 2002, with an M.A. in pastoral counseling and in 2020 from the Chicago Theological Seminary with a PhD in theology and culture focusing on human development and faith. As a pastoral counselor/educator and dedicated Sunday school teacher based in Chicago, she enjoys a rewarding, creative life as a
musician, artist and eco-advocate.
Her love for publishing goes back to the mid-1980's with Ridge's role as publications manager for the Illinois Bureau of Tourism when she produced award-winning publications that received national attention. Publishing draws on her many creative abilities—content development, research, writing, design and printing.. Going to print press runs a joy! Over the years she served as publications manager for the Illinois Department of Financial Institutions and the Illinois Arts Council while earning her graduate degrees.
With a rich background in psychotherapy and spirituality,
Ridge brings a unique blend of empathy and insight into her work. Reflections in Epiphany: Seeking Light in the Darkness-Our Divided Nation comes out of her deep faith, personal experiences and, wisdom shares by her young students. Passionate about human connection, Ridge sets out to inspire each reader in making the case that the many faces of light can pull us through the darkest of days.
